Full Description:
Real Rainforest, time to go Native?
For the adventurous few, unlike many, Southern Costa Rica.
Some consider leaving their home, their country, their lifestyle, a major undertaking - only to move into gated communities, gringo enclaves, or populated beach areas with much of the same mindset as they had back home.
Others want to share ‘a new adventure’ with their family, their children, significant other, even alone. Living close to nature in the Rainforest is a very Special Experience.
‘Rain on a Tin Roof’ is Classic……deafening to say the least. Jungle air loaded with electrolytes is invigorating, healthy and good for the Soul, maybe it’s time to go Native before you lose the capability or desire. Becoming slaves to the Rainforest is far more beneficial and healthier than slaves to the internet, Speaking of Internet, Starlink has made the impossible-possible.
The Property
Two sides of the property border a River and a Stream. Following the Incredible Blue Water Stream, about 15 minutes you arrive and an incredible Waterfall unlike many you’ve had the opportunity to visit. No neighbors in sight, completely isolated, Children and adults alike will love playing here. You’ll not miss ‘the Ocean’ and in fact, it’s only 30 minutes away too by car.
Teak Trees, there are about 4 acres, the trees are about 30 yrs old, you’ll be able to build your own home, cabins too if you have the desire, the Teak can be cut as it was planted for this purpose, strict rulings prevent cutting valuable trees, these Trees are not native to Costa Rica so you’ll not have any problem cutting them. Trees in CR are now protected, cutting is not always allowed.
Access
You’ll have to leave your vehicle on the other side of the river, at least during the rainy season as the river rises and will remain high for months. During summer months it is possible to drive through the river to reach your property (some rocks may be moved temporarily) otherwise a zip line is used to reach the other side, the property begins about 170 mts from the zipline.
As mentioned, ‘for the adventurous few’, there are two other foreigners with land as well on the other side, so you won’t feel isolate, although they are not full time residents. Costs can be shared to improve the river crossing. In fact it would be wonderful to address a new hanging bridge with shared costs, something to be discussed.
Rainforest Living
Rainforest Living, is not for everyone, but it can be wonderful, one must think Manual Labor will be involved, only those in good physical heath need apply, unless you have the funds to truck in what is needed in one or two trips once the rains have subsided, otherwise organizing a team to help bring specific items in on foot is best. This is real off-grid living, the lifestyle is different, great for DIY type people.

Jungle Rainfall and Electrolytes: Yes, it’s accurate to say that a jungle rainfall can fill the air with electrolytes. When rain falls in a jungle, it can release ions and electrolytes from the soil, plants, and atmosphere into the air. These electrolytes can include:
• Negative ions: Such as oxygen ions, which are created when water molecules are split by the energy from the rain.
• Positive ions: Such as sodium, potassium, and calcium ions, which are released from the soil and plants.
• Other electrolytes: Such as magnesium, chloride, and bicarbonate ions, which can be present in the rainwater and released into the air.
These electrolytes can be beneficial for both the environment and human health. They can help to:
• Improve air quality: By neutralizing pollutants and particulate matter in the air.
• Enhance plant growth: By providing essential nutrients for plant development.
• Support human health: By promoting relaxation, reducing stress, and improving mood.
The presence of electrolytes in the air after a jungle rainfall can be particularly noticeable due to the unique combination of high humidity, intense rainfall, and lush vegetation in these environments. So, it’s not an exaggeration to say that a jungle rainfall can fill the air with electrolytes, creating a refreshing and rejuvenating atmosphere.
