These Waterfront Homes and lots are attractive to many since they are directly on/over the water. The neighborhood consists of one road dead ending, it’s an active community I’ve always noticed cars moving about, and the road is a bit narrow in places. Most homeowners have used the entire portion of land to build their homes, so there are no ‘green areas’. It’s a waterfront community, some commercial fishing boats, a couple sail boats, sport fishing boats etc. many of the people here are associated with the Ocean.

Possession Rights are purchased and sold, it’s a unique situation, one that needs to be understood, I’m not going to say there is not a certain amount of risk, because there is, but the risk and the reward must outweigh other’s concerns because some folks have dropped a bundle on their Homes/Piers and Boats.
The municipality gave these lots to local fishmen and their families years ago, since that time many have sold, so a particular lot may have turned over a couple of times. This build I was told could be about 25 years old.
Legalities in Costa Rica can drag on for years and years, so it is with the lots in this area, the final desire is to one day have a title and many have been counting on this.
IT’S A FIXER UPPER FOR SURE
The best views over the water are, as usual, the laundry room, and a bedroom with an obstructed view of the water. So, it definitely needs to be re-worked. The back of the house needs large windows, and the bedroom needs to be elsewhere as this should be the main living area with a water view. Tell me if I’m wrong……
This could be a very nice home with the possibility of a pier.
If you are looking for a project this could be it. This could be a good rental home as well, anything over the water is always a good draw in the rental market.
